Ah, day 9. My last day in the single digits. I was amazed at how my body responded to the day. My boyfriend and I had the day off together (which rarely happens so I was one happy lady) and we decided to go out and do some exploring in our new area. We left our apartment around 11:30. At this point I had only eaten breakfast, which was eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, quick guac, and a pumpkin iced coffee. I blended together coffee, pumpkin, my homemade creamer and a banana. I also sprinkled cinnamon on top. Both were delicious!

We stopped at a couple thrift stores and went to downtown Palm Springs. It was HOT. We went into a couple candy and soda shops and I honestly was not even tempted. Nothing caught my attention. Crazy, huh?! We stopped at a coffee shop on our way back towards Palm Desert. By this point it was around 1:30. I wasn’t hungry but they had Go Raw bars and I was so excited that it was Whole 30 approved that I had to try one. I also got an iced Herbal Crimson Berry tea. Yes, with no sweetener.

We ended up doing some more shopping and when we were at our last store my boyfriend expressed to me how hungry he was. He ate a fruit and nut bar and drank some water. I took him to get his hair cut real quick and then we went to grab some food. It was 5 and I had just started to get hungry. I ordered a hamburger (minus the bun) with bacon and sweet potato fries.

I have to tell you that usually I’m the one that’s starving whenever my boyfriend and I are out together. Ten days ago if I didn’t eat every 2-3 hours I would turn into a monster. My appetite has really changed in just 9 days. And it was 100 degrees out today. I absolutely hate the heat. Even though my boyfriend complained about how hot it was I kept telling him that I actually was enjoying the sun on my skin. I was a completely different person today with such a positive outlook. I have no other explanation for it except my diet.

For ‘dessert’ I ate an apple and a nectarine. I am also sipping on coffee with homemade creamer while I write this. I let my boyfriend try it and he said it needed sugar. I think it tastes great the way it is! I know for a fact that my taste buds have changed. It’s such a wonderful thing.

I can’t wait to see what the next twenty-one days hold. Three weeks left!
