I have to start by complaining a little bit. I've been breaking out for the past few days and it's really starting to drive me nuts. Why did I have perfectly clear skin in the beginning of this process and now that I'm approaching the end, my face is going crazy? I hope it stops soon because my least favorite thing in the whole world is acne!

Other than that I had a great day. My boyfriend and I were off today so no alarms went off this morning. I was wide awake at 7:30 and I wrote my blog for yesterday. After that I ate breakfast. I had eggs, chicken sausage and coffee with homemade creamer. I let my food settle for a few minutes and then I was off to the gym.

I did legs today. I also had to do cardio. I say had to because I hate cardio now. I don't enjoy it at all anymore. I really enjoyed working my legs though. I had the gym to myself while I was in the weights and I was blasting Michael Jackson. I was in the zone. Then I finished legs and I had to move over to the cardio area. I think I am going to start swimming for my cardio. The treadmill is just such a bore to me now and it's getting too hot here in the desert to run outside.

After the gym I went home and I was pretty lazy for the rest of the day. I didn't really eat lunch. I had a snack and that satisfied me. I ate an apple and some cashews midday.

My boyfriend and I caught up on our shows, we did some laundry and I worked on a few other things. When dinner time rolled around I made some cashew turkey. Then I added some pesto that my boyfriend made. It's Whole 30 compliant and delicious. It looks disgusting but it was quite the opposite. My boyfriend also cut up some watermelon and I ate that with my turkey. I was going to add peas and thank goodness I googled if they were allowed on the Whole 30 first because they aren't! I would have had to start over because of peas! That was a close one.

I keep thinking that a week from now I will be all done with the Whole 30. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I will probably continue to eat pretty closely to how I am eating now. I will definitely be adding protein powder back in though. I really miss those guilt free shakes and the occasional hot chocolate. I'm also really looking forward to a glass of wine.

Here's to the next 6 days!

  1. I've been following you in IG and here and you're doing a great job. You really have me motivated. I'll be starting my first whole30 next week. :) I saw your comment about the peas. The shopping list says snow/sugar snap peas are ok. But is that because they are still in their pod? I ask so I know when I am doing it.

    Thanks! Keep it up!

    1. Hi Bailey! What's your username on Instagram so I can find you? You're exactly right, I can't have frozen peas because they are still in their pods. Best of luck on your Whole 30! Hopefully I can find you on Instagram so I can follow your journey.
