I'm on day 20! I'm sorry to repeat myself over and over again but I just can't believe I've made it this far. I was hoping I wouldn't fail because I have people out there holding me accountable (thanks to all of you, by the way!). But there's always that little bit of doubt deep down inside. I'm really good at starting things. Ask my boyfriend. I'm constantly thinking of new ideas on how to better myself. The problem is that I don't always follow through. So the fact that I will actually finish the Whole 30 is so important to me. It's my way of proving myself to MYSELF.

This morning I woke up at 5 so that I could get a workout in before work. I plan on working out five days a week from here on out. I need to stick to a routine so that I can accomplish my fitness goals. I did cardio and legs. Oh man. I haven’t done lunges in while. I was dying! I’m so happy to be back in the 5am club though.

When I got back from the gym I ate some breakfast right away. I was craving protein. All I wanted was a protein shake. BUT I have to wait until my 30 days are up. Anyways, I finished off my homemade yogurt with coffee and an apple.

I threw cuties in my water this morning and it added some great flavor! So good!

For my snack I was craving something salty so I ran to the grocery store and got some cashews. They really hit the spot. So good. I never liked cashews until last year. My dad tried getting me to eat them when I was growing up because they are his favorite but I always refused. Today I told him I don’t know how I lived so long without them.

For lunch I ran home and cooked up some organic hot dogs. My pants were falling off of me (so exciting, yet so sad because I love those pants) so I changed and then I ended up playing with my hair and before I knew it I had to go back to work. So I didn’t have a change to eat anything else.

All afternoon I was craving a salad. I haven’t had a salad since before I started the Whole 30 because I didn’t want to end up eating too many of them and then getting sick of them. I love salads and I didn’t want to ruin that while on this program. I did eat a grilled chicken salad tonight, however. And it was tasty! They put basil in it. Who would have thought to put basil in a salad? Not me. I will now though!

I still have to eat one more apple before bed.

I posted this photo on Instagram this morning for #throwbackthursday. I was so impressed by how clear my skin was looking lately. The photo on the left was taken in 2010 and the photo on the right was taken yesterday. And then this morning I woke up with a bunch of pimples, even a cystic one on my chin. I know women go through cyles and hormonal changes and acne does happen. But I was hoping I could avoid all breakouts during the Whole 30. Has anyone else noticed breakouts even on the Whole 30?

Day 20 complete! 10 more days to go!
