Two

This photo was taken earlier this month in Idyllwild. I wasn't feeling well and Stephen did everything he could that weekend to make sure I was comfortable. I've know Stephen was the one even before I met him. I was reassured the first night I met him and I've been reassured every day since then. I can honestly say I have never doubted him. Not once. He truly is my soul mate and gift from God. I can't wait to be his wife in a little over thirty four hours.

This was taken on October 1st. It was the perfect day for us to go get our marriage license. The beginning of our marriage month. I had to work that day but Stephen was off. He went down to the county clerks office and got all the paperwork started. He came by my work and picked me up on my lunch break, drove us back to the county clerks office and we finished the final forms together. And now in three days, my brother will sign our license and we will be legally married.

{My brother, sister-in-law and original fur baby, Nash, made it home today after driving thirteen hours from Washington. My maid of honor arrived from Boston earlier. And a friend of mine will be getting in from Indiana tomorrow morning. Stephen and I are officially on vacation for the next eleven days. It's starting to become a reality. It's slowly sinking in...}

Here we are at my bridal shower. Stephen dropped me off and picked me up because I would be drinking mimosas. I received a lot of beautiful gifts that day, most of which Stephen still has not seen. I also played the bubble gum game. For each question I answered wrong, I had to chew another piece of gum. I did not do well at all. I'll have many years to learn everything about him. And by the way, when she says Chai Tea - it was supposed to be Tai Tea. I would have gotten it wrong either way.

I can't believe we're getting married in FOUR days.

{Wow. I have proven to be really bad at counting down to our wedding on my blog. I was awake until midnight last night but I was so busy packing and working on things around the house so I didn't have a chance to sit down and write. I apologize. I promise I'll try harder over the next four days.}

Ever since Stephen and I moved in together in in June of 2013 he has been asking to get a boxer. Not just a dog, specifically a boxer. He grew up with them in his home and he's always wanted one of his own. I agreed that we could get a boxer once we had a house. I didn't think it would be fair to have a big dog cooped up in a little apartment. As soon as we moved into our house I started looking on adoption sites. I found this sweet boy who was micro-chipped but his owner was not claiming him. Stephen went by the shelter, fell in love with him and put down a deposit. If he was not picked up in two weeks, we'd be able to take him home. Lucky for us, they never claimed him so he became ours. At first I struggled. I'm not going to lie. We moved into our new home and we were trying to make it beautiful and this big dog would not allow that to happen. He sheds, he drools and early on he was destructive when he was left outside while we were home. I still have my moments like when I clean the floors and then he walks down the hall and I can just see the hair falling off of him onto my beautiful wood floors. BUT I have come to love that incredibly sweet and loving fur ball. I couldn't imagine not having him in our home now. He completes our little family.

This photo was taken on May 18th. This is the first photo ever taken of us at our house and this was the day we were given our keys. Owning a home has been a dream of Stephen's for a long time. He started putting money away before he ever met me. I feel so incredibly grateful that I will be marrying a man who always had the best interest of his future family in mind.

This photo was taken on March 21st in LA just before we went to see Alton Brown. If Stephen were to ever leave me, it would be for Alton Brown. He's just a tad in love with him. Stephen grew up watching him and he is the reason he cooks. We stayed in LA that weekend and went shopping at the Grove the next day. I'm pretty sure all we bought was food.

This photo was taken at Stephen's 30th birthday party. I threw him a Nerdy Thirty themed surprise party along with Sam, Stephen's best friend's wife. Scotty and Stephen turned thirty just days apart and we got them both pretty good!

And...I'm too tired to type anything else. Got a lot accomplished today. Woke up at 4:30am because my mind was racing and I went nonstop all day. With the help of my parents, I did everything I wanted to get done this weekend. Goodnight!

This photo was taken on my 28th birthday this past February. Stephen took me to Idyllwild for the night because there was a chance of snow. I love cold weather, rain and snow. Even when I was little, I used to pray for rain on my birthday. When we got up the hill it was quite a bit colder than it was in the desert and we were in heaven. We went to a party that night for his best friends promotion at work. I enjoyed an open bar and then we went out for pizza. The last time I had cheese was that night. Stephen gave me a rose gold and white gold key diamond necklace. The next morning it snowed. It was a perfect weekend.

This photo was taken on Christmas Day 2014. Our first Christmas as an engaged couple and our last as single individuals. {Every time I say something like that to my fiancé he always says, "I'm not single."} I love this photo so much. Not sure if it's the fact that you can see a glimpse of the Christmas tree in the background or if it's the scruff on Stephen's face. I can't wait to start our own Christmas traditions with our own little family - Stephen, me, Vader, future little white fluff ball and our two babies.

Single Digits tomorrow. How did this happen?

This photo was taken on the second anniversary of our first date. We really wanted to make a trip to Ryan Bros but we were living in the desert and Stephen had to work. Instead, he came home with two dozen red roses and took me to dinner at Fresh Agave, my favorite Mexican restaurant in the desert. I wore the same outfit I wore on the night we met. Just for fun. We ended the night with froyo and How I Met Your Mother.
