Thirty-Six Weeks

How far along? Thirty-six weeks and six days.

Baby's size? Baby is the size of a ripe papaya this week.

Baby's nickname? We call her baby, baby girl and Acacia.

Maternity clothes? Yes, mostly wearing all maternity clothes. A few pre-pregnancy tops still fit but not many.

Exercise? Walking. I'm much more active now that I'm on maternity leave. Going, going, going every day.

Sleep: Sleep is still lacking. I thought once I was on maternity leave that I'd take naps every day. I try but I can't seem to fall asleep. So much on my mind. I am convinced that pregnant women struggle with sleep so that their bodies and minds can get used to having a newborn.

Best moment this week: We took our maternity photos on Sunday and I'm so excited to see them! I also had an appointment with my OB and I was able to see Acacia. She is head down and her heart beat is very strong. My OB said I probably have another three to four weeks to go. No signs of going into labor any earlier. I was measuring right on track so she's probably about seven pounds at this point.

Miss anything? Being able to wear real shoes. I've only been wearing flip flops, even during our maternity photos.

Movement: Acacia is moving so much! More now than ever. I thought the movement would slow down since she's running out of room in there but that hasn't been the case. She is extremely active.

Food Cravings: Salad with poppy seed dressing. We went over to my in-laws house this weekend and my mother-in-law made my favorite salad. I ended up going home and making it all week long. One day I ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Anything making you queasy or sick: No.

Gender: GIRL!

Symptoms: Acid reflux is getting stronger and stronger. I also discovered a few stretch marks on my lower belly this week.

Wedding rings on or off? I wore my engagement ring for our maternity photos and I struggled to get it off so I will not be wearing it again until after the baby is here.

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy!

Looking forward to: Meeting my baby girl! I just want her to be here so I can hold her and kiss her and smell her.

Baby girls profile this week. She was moving so much during the ultrasound.

The famous salad. Mixed baby greens, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, feta cheese, almonds, wontons and homemade poppy seed dressing.

Thirty-Five Weeks

How far along? Thirty-five weeks and six days.

Baby's size? Baby is the size of a bunch of carrots this week.

Baby's nickname? We call her baby, baby girl and Acacia.

Maternity clothes? Yes, mostly wearing all maternity clothes. A few pre-pregnancy tops still fit but not many.

Exercise? Same as the last several weeks, walking and chores around the house. It is rather difficult to vacuum at this point in my pregnancy. It's definitely a workout!

Sleep: Still not sleeping well but I think I'm getting use to it.

Best moment this week: Spending Easter with my husband's family. We had a very nice time.

Miss anything? As I get closer and closer to my due date, I miss a good margarita more and more. My mom had one on Easter and she sent me a photo. Said she was drinking it for me. I'm glad someone is able to enjoy a drink! Like I always say though, the sacrifice will definitely be worth it.

Movement: Acacia moves a lot. Especially when I sit still.

Food Cravings: Anything sweet.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.

Gender: GIRL!

Symptoms: Acne, a little bit of rib pain, the occasional headache and acid reflux.

Wedding rings on or off? Wedding ring is always on. I only wear my engagement ring for special occasions now.

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy!

Looking forward to: This was my last week of work. Maternity leave starts tomorrow and I am so excited!!! To-do list here I come!

Our boys all dressed up for Easter. They were so good with the kids, as always.

My husband with our nephew on Easter. He's going to be such a great daddy!

Thirty-Four Weeks

How far along? Thirty-four weeks and six days.

Baby's size? Baby is the size of a savory cabbage this week.

Baby's nickname? We call her baby, baby girl and Acacia.

Maternity clothes? Yes, mostly wearing all maternity clothes. A few pre-pregnancy tops still fit but not many.

Exercise? Just walking and doing chores around the house.

Sleep: We go to bed so early and I'm still always exhausted in the mornings. And then I tend to be super tired around 3 or 4 in the afternoon again, right when I'm about to start work. Naps take place occasionally.

Best moment this week: I purchased a new phone full of storage ready for tons of photos of Acacia Rhae. I had my previous phone for over two years and it was time for an upgrade. AND my husband bought me a new car! Photo below. I wanted a pearl white car but I fell in love with the black when I saw it. It's actually a pearl black. You can see glitter on the paint up close. It's a 2013 Ford Escape with black leather interior. I've only ever had two other cars and my last car I drove for ten years. I've never had blue tooth or anything like that so I'm loving all the newer features in this car!

Miss anything? Sleeping through the night.

Movement: Every time I sit still, she moves.

Food Cravings: Lately I've wanted sweet stuff, mostly chocolate. It's funny because I've read that when you're having a girl, you crave sweet foods. When I was first pregnant I was disgusted with sweet foods. That has completely changed at this point.

Anything making you queasy or sick: No.

Gender: GIRL!

Symptoms: Acid reflux every now and then, especially when I eat anything tomato based. Acne is getting better but isn't completely gone.

Wedding rings on or off? Wedding ring is always on. I only wear my engagement ring for special occasions now.

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy!

Looking forward to: Again, I'm looking forward to maternity leave. I'm counting down. And driving my new car. I'm trying to find any excuse to drive around town.

Thirty-Three Weeks

How far along? Thirty-three weeks and six days.

Baby's size? Baby is the size of a cauliflower blossom this week.

Baby's nickname? We call her baby, baby girl and Acacia.

Maternity clothes? Yes, mostly wearing all maternity clothes. A few pre-pregnancy tops still fit but not many.

Exercise? Just chores around the house and playing outside with the dogs. It doesn't take much to get my heart rate going these days. I'm planning on taking walks once I'm on maternity leave. Either in the morning by myself or in the evening with my husband.

Sleep: Sleep is a thing of the past now. Even when I do get to bed really early, I still wake up several times and struggle to fall back to sleep. I tend to get really tired around 3 or 4 in the afternoon and that is right when I go back to work. It's not fun. Can't wait until maternity leave. I'm going to sleep every chance I get!

Best moment this week: We did some shopping for Acacia. We had registered for a mobile but didn't get one so we went to Buy Buy Baby to grab the one we registered for. It was no longer available but they had a new one and I love it even more! It goes perfectly with her quilt that was made for her. I asked her daddy to put it together that same night. Photos below.

Miss anything? Sleep and every now and then I miss a goooood drink. Tequila could really help me sleep right now.

Movement: Lots and lots.

Food Cravings: Reese's Eggs because they're everywhere and Fruity Pebbles.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.

Gender: GIRL!

Symptoms: Same as previous weeks. Acid reflux is happening more regularly. A bit of acne still. Rib pain. Being tired at all hours of the day. It will all be worth it though!

Wedding rings on or off? Wedding ring is always on. I only wear my engagement ring for special occasions now.

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy!

Looking forward to: Maternity Leave. Can't wait to take tons and tons of naps. I say this now but watch, when I'm on maternity leave I'll have tons of energy all of a sudden.
